  11.  - Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1

  14. Directories or files that do not meet the FAT naming convention (8.3),
  15. cannot be replicated from a Windows NT Advanced Server NTFS file
  16. system volume to an MS OS/2 LAN Manager 2.x FAT volume.

  18. Directories or files can be replicated from a Windows NT Advanced
  19. Server NTFS volume to an MS OS/2 LAN Manager 2.x HPFS volume; however,
  20. the names of the directories or files must meet the HPFS conventions.

  22. HPFS filenames must meet the following conventions:
  23.  
  24.  - Names can be up to 254 characters.
  25.  - Paths and filenames can together be up to 259 characters long.
  26.  - Blank spaces and periods can occur anywhere in the file or 
  27.    directory name.
  28.  - The following characters can be used in naming HPFS files:

  30.       [ ] , + = ;
  31.  
  32.  - The following characters are not currently allowed:
  33.  
  34.       < > : " / \ | * ? &
  35.  
  36.  - You can use uppercase, lowercase, or mixed case.

  38. NTFS filenames must meet the following conventions:

  40.  - Names can be up to 255 characters long.
  41.  - The following characters are not currently allowed:

  43.       ? " / \ < > * | :

  45. NOTE: Windows NT Advanced Server can function as both an import and
  46. export replication server. Standard Windows NT can function as only an
  47. import server. MS OS/2 LAN Manager can function as both an import and
  48. an export server. You can also export from an OS/2 LAN Manager server
  49. to a Windows NT workstation.
